About picking up or ordering pies
When do I get my apple pie?
Pie pick-up day is Tuesday, October 24th, from 12pm to 7pm at Ozaukee Christian School. Click here for a map and directions.
What happens if I'm not able to make it to Pie Pick-Up Day?
Please contact our office at (262) 284-6980. Perhaps a friend or relative can pick up your pie as our freezer room is limited!
Is there a deadline to order?
Pie pre-sales end Thursday, October 19th (or when we sell out). Payment is required at the time you place your order.
What if I miss the pre-sale deadline?
Every year we make a couple hundred extra pies in case we have unexpected demand. If we still have extra pies at the end of the pre-sales, we'll throw open the freezer truck doors and have a Truck Load Sale! It is important to note that we cannot guarantee that there will be any extra pies if you wait to order through the Truck Load Sale. The Truck Load Sale will be during Pie Pick Up on Tuesday, October 24th, from 12pm to 7pm.
About our pies
How long will my unbaked pie keep in the freezer?
They are double-bagged to prevent freezer burn and will keep up to one full year.
How long does it take to bake a pie?
Bake a frozen pie for about 1½ hours. Bake a thawed pie about 1 hour.
Where can I find nutritional information?
Pies contain apples, flour, margarine, soy, cinnamon and sugar.
Do you off any gluten-free options?
Our one-day pie production process requires us to focus on creating just one type of pie. Our pie crust is wheat-based.
How old do volunteers have to be?
We require all volunteers to be 12 years (7th grade) or older.
Can I volunteer next to my friend, co-worker, neighbor, spouse, etc?
We appreciate our volunteers and attempt to accommodate their special requests and needs. Please let us know when you register about any special requests. Plan to arrive at the same time with those you want to work with during your shift. In order to keep the pie assembly lines producing, we may not be always be able to grant your request.
What should I wear to volunteer?
Short sleeves, closed-toe shoes, and no sweaters or jewelry (except small earrings). A t-shirt is recommended. A vest can be worn over your t-shirt for warmth.
Is there child care available for volunteers?
Available on Pie Assembly Day, Saturday, October 21st, from 7:30am-4:30pm. Please register your child(ren) when you sign up.
Can I get credit for volunteer service hours through high school, college, or another program?
Yes, we support many schools with service hour opportunities with our apple pie fundraiser. Check with the welcome table for a letter to take, or bring your own form for us to sign.
